leg action in freestyle swimming

What are some tips for the leg action in freestyle swimming/stroke?


Hello thank you for your question,

Keep your legs straight, kick from your hips and thighs. Don’t bend your knees and keep your ankles floppy not ridged otherwise you’ll be sculling backwards. Body position should remain in a vertical position at all times don’t let your legs or body drag, stay on the surface of the water.

Keep legs together fast small kicks toes touching? Keep in mind that legs keep you vertical and prevent you from moving from side, they do not crate much propulsion but are just as important as the arms when it helps when creating the perfect and streamlined stroke....
