Dear Dale,
When swimming freestyle, one of your students has their head too low in the water. What are some correctional strategies you can try to get the student to raise their head?

Thanks for your question mark, yes you are right some of my swimmers do have heads too low. You wouldn’t believe how hard it to take a picture of a swimming moving across the pool and get it perfect. So well observed, there are some correctional methods you can use.
You can ask your students to put head in the water looking down and slightly forwards. Whilst they stand there put their head in the correct position. Then try it with a hand float looking at the floor keeping the head in the correct position constantly correcting it if it goes astray.
